Work and Play

This visa allows people aged between 18 and not yet 31 to work and travel around Australia. These programs encourage cultural exchange and closer ties between arrangement countries. You can be granted these visas once in your lifetime with a possibility of an extension. These visas are not open to all passport holders.

The criteria listed below are very general:

Working Holiday Visa
Subclass: 417
Eligibility: Must be between the ages of 18 and not yet 31.For eligible passport holders only.
Duration: 1 year and can be extended for a further 12 months with 3 months work in a regional area.
Notes: Applicants cannot be accompanied by dependent children at any time during your stay in Australia.You can undertake temporary employment for up to 6 months with each employer & study for 4 months.
Work and Holiday Visa
Subclass: 462
Eligibility: This visa is for people between the ages of 18 and not yet 31 from Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay and the USA.In most cases you require English, a Bachelor’s degree, a letter of support from your government, evidence of funds and maybe a medical.Each country has different requirements.
Duration: 1 year
Notes: Applicants cannot be accompanied by dependent children at any time during your stay in Australia.You can undertake temporary employment for up to 6 months with each employer & study for up to 4 months.
