Becoming An Australian Sponsor
To sponsor temporary residents to Australia, the first step is for your business to become a Standard Business Sponsor (SBS).
A SBS for an overseas business or an Australian business is valid for 3 years and permits you to sponsor an unlimited number
of employees during this period.
To become a sponsor your company or business must:

- Be a lawful, operating business.
- Have the financial ability to meet its sponsorship obligations
- Meet certain training benchmarks
✔ Provide you with your own communication portal
✔ Provide a detailed Checklist and Information Sheets
✔ Understand your requirements
✔ Partner with you & step your business through the process
✔ Ensure that only correct and complete information is lodged with DIBP
✔ Complete the forms and submissions.
✔ Follow through to visa decision
✔ Reduce your stress
Once you have your SBS, ASM will complete the next two steps of the visa process -the Nomination and Visa applications.
DIBP has instituted Monitoring for Sponsors. This can be difficult and time consuming. ASM will assist your company by utilising information retained on file about your business and your visa holders.
